Text formatting, link insertion, and format clearing

Inline Formatting
In Normal mode, you can apply inline formatting via toolbar buttons, shortcuts, or Markdown syntax:
| Format | Shortcut | Markdown Syntax | Result |

| Bold | Ctrl+B | **text** | Bold text |
| Italic | Ctrl+I | *text* | Italic text |
| Underline | Ctrl+U | — | Underlined text |
| Strikethrough | Alt+Shift+5 | ~~text~~ | |
| Inline Code | Ctrl+E | `code` | inline code |
How to use:
- Select the text you want to format
- Press the corresponding shortcut or click the toolbar button
- Press the shortcut again to remove the formatting
You can also press the shortcut first to enter formatting mode, type your text, then press the shortcut again to exit.
Insert Link
Shortcut: Ctrl+K
Steps:
- Select the text to add a link to (optional)
- Press
Ctrl+Kor click the link button in the toolbar - Enter the URL in the dialog
- Confirm to insert the link
Markdown syntax: [link text](https://example.com)
Clear Formatting
Shortcut: Ctrl+Space
Select text and press Ctrl+Space to remove all inline formatting (bold, italic, underline, etc.), restoring it to plain text.
Tip
Clear formatting only affects inline styles — it won't change paragraph types (headings, lists, etc.).
